Jazz Aspen Snowmass's Labor Day Experience is a **three-day open-air festival at Snowmass Town Park** over Labor Day weekend. The 2026 edition ran **September 4–6** with Benson Boone, Tim McGraw and Bonnie Raitt among the headliners. **2027 dates and lineup have not been announced**; Labor Day 2027 falls on Monday, September 6. And **Aspen's airport is closed until November 19, 2027**, so this year everyone arrives by road from Eagle, Rifle or Denver.

- **2027 dates**: Not announced (checked October 1, 2026). The festival runs over Labor Day weekend; in 2027 that is Friday, September 3 to Monday, September 6.
- **2026 edition**: September 4–6, 2026: Benson Boone and Trombone Shorty; Tim McGraw, Shaboozy and Avery Anna; The Red Clay Strays, Bonnie Raitt and Christone "Kingfish" Ingram.
- **Venue**: Snowmass Town Park, with the Elk Mountain Range behind the stage.
- **Tickets**: General admission includes the JAS Village (food and drink vendors, a side stage, kids' activities); premium options vary by year.

## Getting there with the airport closed

- **Aspen (ASE)**: Closed April 4 – November 19, 2027: no commercial or private flights.
- **Eagle (EGE)**: About 70 miles, roughly an hour and a half to Snowmass.
- **Rifle (RIL)**: About an hour and a quarter; the usual choice for private aircraft.
- **Denver (DEN)**: About 3½ to 4 hours; Independence Pass is normally open in early September.

## Snowmass or Aspen

- **Snowmass for the festival**: Staying in Snowmass Village puts Town Park a short ride away and avoids the evening traffic back to Aspen after the last set.
- **Aspen for everything else**: Aspen has the restaurants and the late September light; a driver between the two after each night solves the parking question.
