- **Altitude on departure**: Aspen sits at 7,820 feet; on warm or heavy days the operator may limit load or fuel, which is why the aircraft choice matters on the way home.
- **Weather days**: If Aspen is closed by weather, the flight can leave from Rifle or Eagle instead; we move the car and the luggage.
