Aspen's fall colors usually peak between mid and late September, earlier at high elevation and a few days later in the valley. In 2026, a warm, dry summer brought color early and less vivid, with leaves dropping faster than usual. For a fall trip, plan on the second half of September and book Maroon Bells access as soon as your dates are set.
