The Christmas-to-New-Year fortnight is Aspen's peak: holiday rates run roughly December 20 to January 4, restaurants move to fixed Christmas menus, and ski lessons, rentals, chefs and cars all book out. The week is easy when the handful of things that sell out are secured first.
Dinner details below are from last season (Christmas 2025, as listed by the Aspen Chamber). Restaurants change their holiday plans each year; we confirm the current season in November.

Operators apply holiday rates across roughly December 20 to January 4 and fill early. Book the arrival and departure cars with the flights.
Private lessons for the holiday week go first. Book them before Thanksgiving and have rentals fitted at the house the evening you arrive.
Book when menus are announced, usually late November. Fixed menus are the norm.
Private chefs are committed early for Christmas dinner; if you want one, it's among the first things to confirm.
Groceries, a tree if the rental doesn't have one, and the first evening sorted before you land. Holiday deliveries run on tighter schedules.

Many are. In 2025, for example, PARC, Hotel Jerome, Wayan and MOLLIE Aspen all offered Christmas Day dining. Holiday plans change each year, so confirm in November.
In 2025 options included Element 47's four-course menu, PARC's prix fixe and Ajax Tavern's à la carte evening at the base of Aspen Mountain. Book when menus are released.
