Make the birthday feel like theirs.

Plan a birthday in Aspen around the person, the group and the season: dinner, a day out, a photographer and the practical details that make it work.

The best birthday plan starts with the person, not the decorations. A quiet dinner after a mountain day, a weekend with friends or a surprise at the house each needs a different rhythm. Choose the one moment that matters most, then make the rest of the Aspen stay support it.

IThe shape of the day

Three birthdays, three different plans

Two people, no production

A leisurely day, a table chosen for conversation and a massage at the residence if wanted. Leave room for the person to decide how much attention they want.

Friends together for the weekend

One shared dinner, one activity the whole group can enjoy and a planned ride home. Not everyone needs to ski at the same level for the weekend to work.

A milestone at the residence

A chef dinner, flowers and a photographer where wanted. Confirm the house’s guest limits and event rules before inviting people beyond the booking.

IIAspen judgment

Let the season shape the plan

In winter, avoid making the birthday dinner depend on every guest returning from a different mountain at the same time. A house dinner can give a mixed group more control over the evening. In summer, keep an outdoor moment earlier in the day and reserve a comfortable indoor alternative.

For an arrival-day birthday, plan around the actual flight and the possibility of a late landing. A complicated surprise with a rigid start time can become the least enjoyable part of the trip. Keep the essential gesture ready and the dinner flexible.

IIISurprises

Protect the moment without complicating the trip

Who knows
One organiser, one contact here and a clear list of who is in on it. Specify which email or phone should receive the plan.
The signal
For a photographer or a table surprise, agree the timing and a simple fallback if the guest arrives early.
Food and flowers
Allergies, the cake size, any favourite colours and whether the venue permits outside items. Confirm availability and charges before committing.
The spend
Separate the celebration budget from travel, lodging and supplier costs. Bespoke arrangements are quoted, not presented as a package with an invented price.
IVBefore we start

Send the person, not just the date

Tell me the date, age or milestone if relevant, party size, where you are staying, what they love, what they would hate, the budget and whether this is a surprise. Include any dinner or activity already booked.

I can coordinate the existing celebration-at-the-house experience and the Aspen logistics around it. Larger events, extra staffing or an external venue require a separately confirmed scope. Nothing is booked until you approve.

Common questions

Can you plan a surprise birthday?

Yes, within an agreed scope. Tell Paul who knows, the discreet contact route and the moment you want to protect.

Can we host a party at a vacation rental?

Only if the owner or manager permits the gathering and the property can safely accommodate it. A holiday rental is not automatically an event venue.

Can you arrange a cake or flowers?

We can include the request in the celebration plan and confirm supplier availability and pricing before approval.

Do we need a full weekend of activities?

No. One excellent shared moment often works better than a packed schedule.
