Two outdoor rinks under the lights, a free one in Snowmass with free skates, and two indoor arenas for public skate. Where each is, and what to know.
The easiest skate in the valley is free: the outdoor rink at Snowmass Base Village, with free skate rentals and fire pits beside it. In Aspen itself, Silver Circle is the outdoor rink at the foot of Aspen Mountain. For indoor public skate, the City of Aspen runs the Aspen Ice Garden downtown and Lewis Ice Arena at the Aspen Recreation Center.
Hours and details below come from the rinks' and resorts' own pages, checked October 2, 2026. The 2026–27 outdoor season dates are not yet published; outdoor rinks open when the weather allows.

We find and brief a nanny or babysitter for the days the little ones aren't in ski school, or the evenings you go out: at the house, the same person all week if you like.

Come in from the mountain to the fire lit, something warm to drink and a spread laid out: set up while you ski by our chef or caterer, from groceries already in the house.

A car and driver on call for dinner and the night out, so nobody hunts for a taxi at midnight.

Reservations, timing, a driver and a picnic for Maroon Bells or a day in the valley, arranged around your group.
Opening days, holiday events on the ice and the winter dates worth planning around.
