February is the heart of the season: the snowiest month in town at 28.3 inches, highs near 35°F and longer days. It's also the most crowded event calendar of the winter: Valentine's Day and Presidents' Day (February 14–15), Palm Tree Music Festival (February 19–20) and the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix at Buttermilk (February 27–28).

This winter, month by month
After the holiday fortnight and X Games weekend, it's the busiest stretch of the winter. Families travel; lessons, childcare and cars fill first, and some providers apply higher rates for the week. We confirm rates before booking.
Two back-to-back event weekends keep the second half of February busy, with Saturday dinners and late cars in high demand.
The first week of February and the midweek days between events are the easier windows.
