The Maroon Bells reflected in Maroon Lake on a summer morning
Occasions  ·  Wedding venues

The setting is only half the wedding weekend.

Compare Aspen wedding settings by guest experience, transport and weather backup. Official venue routes, questions to ask and local support around your chosen venue.

Choose an Aspen wedding venue for how the weekend will work, as well as the ceremony photograph. Where guests sleep, how they get home, what the venue includes and what happens in poor weather can change the right choice. This is a planning comparison, not a claim that Aspen Privé represents or holds space at these venues.

IVenue routes

Three distinctly Aspen settings

The Little Nell / Aspen Mountain
The hotel publishes mountain and hotel wedding settings, including the Wedding Deck, Sundeck and indoor spaces. Enquire directly about the exact setting, seasonal operation and weather contingency. A mountain ceremony needs an access plan as well as a beautiful view.
Hotel Jerome
A downtown hotel with published indoor and outdoor event spaces. Its current wedding guidance requires a dedicated planner; Aspen ground support does not replace that role. Ask the hotel for the room, guest and contract details that apply to your event.
Maroon Bells Amphitheater
A public-land ceremony setting with its own reservation and access rules. It is not a private hotel venue or an all-weather reception space. Start with the permit and access guide.
IIBefore the contract

Ask what the photographs do not tell you

The rain or snow plan

Which alternative space is held, what capacity it has and when the decision must be made.

The guest route

Walking distance, gondola or vehicle access, mobility needs and the last return journey. Ask what transport is actually included.

The boundaries

Exclusive-use hours, outside-supplier rules, sound restrictions and who is responsible for setup and cleanup.

The money

Venue fee, food-and-beverage terms, deposits, cancellation, staffing and overtime. Compare the total approved scope rather than a single headline number.

IIIThe guests

Plan the weekend around the chosen setting

A room block, separate hotels and a private residence create different pickup patterns. Build a guest list with lodging, flight, arrival day and the events each person is attending. Group travel planning is where those details come together.

For a welcome dinner, rehearsal evening or next-day gathering, do not assume the main wedding contract includes the space or meal. Keep a few hours of breathing room for guests arriving late or adjusting to altitude.

IVOur role

Local support around your venue and planner

You choose and contract the venue with its event team or your wedding planner. I coordinate the confirmed Aspen-side services: arrival transport, drivers, dining outside the main event, a photographer where needed and getting the residence ready. We do not claim venue representation or preferred rates.

Send the date, expected guest count, venue shortlist or existing contract, where guests will stay and the gaps you need handled. If the wedding-production role itself is still unfilled, that is a separate scope to confirm rather than something hidden inside a transport quote.

Common questions

Can Aspen Privé book or hold any venue on this page?

A listing does not mean we hold inventory or represent the venue. Availability and contracts are confirmed with the venue’s own team.

Does Hotel Jerome require a wedding planner?

Its current published wedding guidance requires one. Confirm the exact requirements directly with the hotel.

Is Maroon Bells suitable for the whole reception?

The ceremony site has its own rules and is not equivalent to an indoor reception venue. Plan the meal and weather fallback separately.

Can you help guests staying at different properties?

Yes, through an agreed ground-logistics scope and the guest information needed to plan pickups.
