Aspen's 2026–27 winter runs from November 26, 2026 to April 18, 2027. The busiest weeks cluster around the holidays and a handful of events: X Games at the end of January, Gay Ski Week the week before, and Palm Tree Music Festival in February.

December 20 to January 4 is the peak, followed by X Games weekend and Presidents' Day week: houses, cars, lessons and dinner tables go early.
The first half of December before the holidays, and late March to April 18 outside Easter week (Easter is March 28, 2027). Best time to visit
With the airport closed from April 4, the last two weeks of skiing mean flying into Eagle, Rifle, Grand Junction or Denver.
Opening day and Thanksgiving (November 26), Christmas, New Year's Eve, Gay Ski Week (January 17–24), X Games (January 29–31), Presidents' Day (February 15), Palm Tree Music Festival (February 19–20) and closing day (April 18).
