The Aspen Ideas Festival is the Aspen Institute's flagship week of talks, held in late June. In 2026 it ran June 25 – July 1, with Aspen Ideas: Health June 22–25 just before it. The 2027 dates have not been announced yet. What is already certain: Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is closed from April 4 to November 19, 2027, so everyone arrives through Eagle, Rifle or Denver. That is the part we handle.

Festival week fills Aspen's hotels and the best rentals early. A house within walking or short driving distance of the Meadows saves the daily shuttle question.
With a drive from Eagle, Rifle or Denver, arriving the evening before the first session avoids starting the week on the road.
